NABCEP certified solar PV installer

Each solar panel installer at Joule has this certification, demonstrating that they have passed a rigorous examination that requires both a theoretical and a practical understanding of solar panel equipment and solar panel system design, installation and maintenance. It also requires each installer to have significant in-field experience installing solar panel systems.

NABCEP certified solar thermal installer

Our solar thermal installers at Joule Energy all have this certification, which means they have each had years of experience performing solar thermal installations and have passed the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) examination, the national standard for this type of work. Our installers also regularly renew their certifications through continuing education classes to stay up-to-date on the latest solar thermal designs and products.

Professional Engineer (structural)

Our structural engineers at Joule Energy have passed an exhaustive Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam, in addition to having an engineering degree from an ABET accredited institution, an E.I.T. certification, and qualified work experience. Having a structural engineer in-house allows us to take on complex projects of significant size and scope, while also guaranteeing that the calculations for solar panel and solar thermal systems of any complexity are performed accurately.

Speciality Solar Energy Equipment

In order for a firm to install solar panel and solar hot water systems, the Louisiana State Board of Contractors requires these licenses. The Louisiana Department of Revenue also requires these licenses for the issuance of the Tax Credit for Solar and Wind Energy Systems on Residential Property.

LEED Accredited Professional

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building Rating Rating System is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. LEED provides building owners and operators with the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their building’s performance.

LEED Accredited Professionals have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles, and a familiarity with LEED requirements, resources and processes.
